BioI am a historian, a wife, a mother, a member of my community, a citizen, a traveler, a foodie, and a loud-mouthed pushy broad. These things inform my writing. I am also bookish with out-of-control brown hair. Of course I identify with Hermione. The post-canon (though occasionally EWE) Hermione. The one who is over-18, like me, and allowed to do stuff legally.
As a professional academic who writes the odd bit of erotica as a hobby, I'm a bit paranoid about giving out identifying information. I somehow don't think my employers or my students' parents would take kindly to finding out I'm a smut peddler. So the birthday in my profile is Buzzy's. If you've read Petty Fanfic Writers Anonymous, you understand why we don't celebrate Not-Buzzy's birthday. It would be the Dudley-and-the-insufficient-excess-of-presents drama every year.
This journal is where I discuss my thoughts about fandom. So far, it's nearly all in the HP-verse. That might change at some point, or it might not. I'm just playing it all by ear.
I have no objection to being friended by anyone. If you let me know that you've friended me, there's a good chance I'll friend you back, but if I don't, it's not personal. This journal is where I post and discuss fanfic, nearly all of which is in the HP-verse. If you write a lot about other fandoms or your journal is mostly about your real life, I may not friend you. Not because I don't like you, but because that isn't what I use this journal for.
If you send me LJmail, I won't answer. Again, nothing personal. First, because I joined LJ to have a journal, not to open yet another email account, and second because I find the LJmail system horribly badly constructed.
My stories are kept in the story hive.
